H and H Lawncare Equipment was founded in 1982 by Christ J.
Hecker, (pronounced K'rist) a full time Government Service
Employee as a family run service facility to serve the repair
needs of the South Wichita area. For many years H and H
Lawncare Equipment operated from the comfort of a small work
shed located behind the family home. His sons would help out
from time to time when they weren’t busy with school, work and
extracurricular activities. The business thrived and attracted
countless loyal customers. Christ didn't set out to take over
the market, get rich or control the world. His goal was to
provide an honest, quality service and play his part in the
community, a tradition that is carried on today.
In 2003, the youngest son of Christ, Sean P. Hecker and his wife
Amanda Reese-Hecker took over H and H Lawncare Equipment so
Christ could finally enjoy his retirement. The business was
relocated to a larger facility and added new lines of equipment;
including Briggs and Stratton, Dixon, Echo, Shindaiwa and
Snapper. Amanda assumed the role of General Manager and Sean
assumed the role of President/CEO.
In 2004, Sean put his knowledge of web programming to work to
build a small website for informational purposes. Though that
website is long gone, Sean is still awakened at night with
nightmares of the "awe inspiring" green background that was so
popular in the early days of the internet. The H and H Lawncare
Equipment website has changed domain names a couple times due to
unscrupulous domain name resellers and even a threatened
trademark infringement lawsuit, but the service continues to the
same extraordinary level Christ had been known for. 
In 2006, in order to compete in the ever changing outdoor power
equipment market place, (aka Big Box Stores) H and H Lawncare
added e-commerce to their website
LawnMowerPros.com. Quickly
realizing the need of e-commerce H and H Lawncare worked to add
more products, which now offers over two million parts. It
proved to be worth the effort as H and H Lawncare Equipment has
shipped parts to every state in the U.S., every territory in
Canada and countries their customer service representatives have
never even heard of. By sticking to their motto of “Going the
Extra Mile” H and H Lawncare Equipment has been rapidly
propelled toward becoming the largest source of outdoor power
equipment and lawn mower parts on the internet. They have
always prided themselves on fair pricing and reliable, honest,
customer service; a tradition carried through to their online
e-commerce store.
In 2008, an extremely harsh winter storm caused the roof of the
repair facility to collapse. Thankfully no one was injured. The
mechanics spent weeks working out of shipping containers while
the shop was repaired; giving more proof that H and H Lawncare
Equipment will stop at nothing to ensure the fulfillment of
their business relationships.
In May 2009, to the relief of the mechanics, the newly remodeled
repair facility opened for business.
Most afternoons you can still find Christ toiling around the
service center. He claims to come down to, "Help out", but
there's speculation he’s just hiding from "the wife".
H and H Lawncare Equipment is always expanding its brands and
currently is an authorized servicing dealer for Dixon, Snapper,
Echo, Shindaiwa, Briggs & Stratton, Generac, Honda Engines,
Kohler Engines, MTD, Murray, Tanaka, Poulan, Weedeater and
others.
